TheLies of P OvertureDLCbrings with it a wide range of new content, including several hidden areas that require keys. Some of the more prominent examples of this are theBlack Rabbit Hole hideouts, which are found throughout the expansion. These locations feature rewards tied directly to the Black Rabbit Brotherhood from the base game. In this guide, we’ll show youwhere to find every Black Rabbit Hideout, as well as theBlack Rabbit Hole Keysthat unlock them inLies of P Overture.
Where to Find All Black Rabbit Hole Keys in Lies of P Overture
Black Rabbit Hole Key 1 – Carnival Wandering Merchant:
Thefirst Black Rabbit Hole Key inLies of P Overtureis sold by theWandering Merchantyou’ll encounter in the Carnival Garden area, late in Chapter 1. To find the merchant, follow these directions:
If you missed the Wandering Merchant early in the DLC, you can return any time to find the merchant’s box still sitting at this location. The key will still be available.
Black Rabbit Hole Key 2 – Inside Hideout 1:
The second Black Rabbit Hole key is very easy to find, as it comes with one of the rewards you’ll receive when you find the first Black Rabbit hideout and open the safe. However, it is also incredibly easy to miss. To find it,you must equip the Piercing Death’s Hunting Apparel outfityou found in the first safe. Once equipped, the key will be added to your inventory.
Black Rabbit Hole Key 3:
Thethird Black Rabbit Hole Keyis found in theSecurity Areain Chapter 2. This is the region directly after the Zelator Underground Facility. The key is located near the bottom of the tall shaft you need to descend through shortly after the Stargazer. You’ll reach this shaft after exiting the pipes.
Make your way down the shaft until you see a larger platform with an enemy puppet. In the corner of the platform, you’ll see the blue item marker. This is the third key. You’ll know it’s the right platform as it has a ladder that leads directly to it. Descend the ladder and collect the key.
Black Rabbit Hole Key 4 – Pistris Harbor Submarine Dock:
Thefourth and final Black Rabbit Hole Keyis found inPistris Harbor, Chapter 3’s third Stargazer and region. Once you reach the Stargazer, make your way down the path, then descend the ladder to the lower platforms. You’ll encounter a large device with a red light shining. Approach the device and interact with it.
The device will cause a large submarine to be lowered, creating a path to a small platform on the opposite side of it. Make your way over the sub, then turn right and look for the glowing blue item marker. Pick up the item, which is revealed to be thefinal Black Rabbit Hole Key.
Where to Find All Black Rabbit Hole Hideouts in Lies of P Overture
There are four doors that lead to theBlack Rabbit Brotherhood’s secret hideouts.
Black Rabbit Hole 1 – Carnival Garden:
The first Black Rabbit Hole is found in theCarnival Gardenregion in Chapter 1, just like the first key. Once you have that key, return to the Carnival Garden Stargazer.
Head through the main gate, then turn right past the Clown Knock-Down tent. Head to the end of the path and defeat the sweepers. Once they are gone, turn around and look at the door directly behind the clown tent. There, you’ll find the entrance to the first Black Rabbit Hole.

Black Rabbit Hole 2 – Eventide Krat Hotel:
The second Black Rabbit Hole is found within the grounds of Eventide Krat Hotel. This is the version of the hotel that only exists in the Forgotten Time. The hideout is in the same location as the merchant who sells wishes for the cube in the main timeline. It is located right next to the Gold Coin Fruit Tree. You must have access to the tree garden to access the second Black Rabbit Hole.
Black Rabbit Hole 3 – Zelator Underground Facility:
The third Black Rabbit Hole is found in Chapter 2, close to theZelator Underground Facility Stargazer. From the Stargazer, turn around and face away from the frozen mist area. You’ll see a set of stairs that lead to a catwalk. Look for the opening on the left side of the catwalk. There, you’ll find the entrance to the third Black Rabbit Hole inLies of P Overture.
You’ll likely encounter this hideout before you find the third key. Don’t worry, you’ll locate it shortly after reaching the next region, the Security Area.
The Rewards at this location are based onThe Eldestfrom the base game.
Black Rabbit Hole 4 – Krat Lighthouse:
Thefinal Black Rabbit Holehideout is located at the Krat Lighthouse near the end of Chapter 4. To find the door, you’ll first need to climb to the top of the lighthouse, then fall over onto the ledgewhere Rosaura is found, if you’ve followed her side-quest up to that point.
From Rosaura, head to the edge of the ledge on the left. You’ll find a ladder that will take you down to the section of the lighthouse that was previously inaccessible. From the bottom of the ladder, the door to the fourth hideout is not far away.
