Destiny 2: The Edge of Fatehas brought tons of interesting weapons to the game, and among them,Ahab Charcomes as a Solar Version of the BrayTech Werewolf, but with a Rapid-Fire Frame, and a renewed perk pool to boot. Ahab Char might be one of the surprise meta picks for this new era of Destiny 2, and there are various reasons for that. Among them, its intrinsic perk, Bray Legacy, which has a similar effect to that of the Tresh Perk, is a nice addition for a weapon of this archetype.

This auto-rifle might be positioning itself closer to the top-grade meta weapons for the season (and perhaps beyond), so grabbing itsGod Rollswhen it’s still fresh would boost Guardian’s chances of survival in the harsh

All Ahab Char PvE God Rolls in Destiny 2

The Ahab Char God Rolls for PvE in Destiny 2 areSubsistence(orHeal Clip) andSwashbuckler. It is a rare opportunity to have a Solar Rapid-Frame Auto Rifle with Heal Clip, so for those players who prefer sustain over continuous fire, this perk should be the optimal choice. Subsistence allows players to keep clearing adds as they stack up on Swashbuckler, and with the 33.3% extra damage of this perk at max stacks (5), it really packs a punch.

Range

For Barrel, Hammer-Forged Rifling grants extra range, since Ahab Char has a low base reach. For Magazine, Flared Magwell grants the perfect balance between reload speed and stability. For Masterwork, players should get one with Range, since this is one of the weak spots of the Ahab Char. With a base range of 30, it pales in comparison with other solar Auto Rifles like the Ammit AR2.

The Ahab Char Solar Auto-Rifle is one of the manyweapons players can get during The Edge of Fateexpansion, and it’s one of the Reward Pass items they can obtain by leveling up during the season. Most of the weapons obtained in that way are also World Drops, and can be obtained through thePortal Activityrewards.

All Ahab Char PvP God Rolls in Destiny 2

In terms of PvP potential, the Ahab Char is a decent weapon, though it doesn’t perform as well as other SolarAuto Rifles with the same archetype. But its god roll, which consists ofPerpetual Motionand the new solar PerkBurning Ambition, is a powerful combination. Burning Ambition applies Scorch with each shot, and even more Scorch on sustained damage. In PvP, that DoT is quite annoying (think of it as a replacement for the overused Thorn Poison). Perpetual Motion allows players to easily control the weapon as they maneuver through enclosed spaces, and makes sustained fire possible even as players move, which is a big plus.

Hammer-Forged Rifling adds to the weapon’s range, and having Ricochet Rounds will permit players to bounce ammo in corners, hitting Guardians who are protecting themselves behind walls. And, as players might have guessed, this will still apply scorch from Burning Ambition, making it an overpowered combo. Complete with a Masterwork in Range to ensure damage fall-off doesn’t happen too often.
