AsFromfans tap their fingers eagerly waiting for the return of MGM’ssci-fishow’s season 4, a debate among its community has arisen. Some long-term watchers are beginning to get worried that the mysterious series will lose the pull it originally had on its audience and sink into the confusing depths of another controversial show like ABC’sLost,especially if a fifth season is greenlit.
Throughout its three seasons, fans ofFromhave enjoyed nothing more than jumping head-first intonumerous deep dives and head-spinning theories. Trapped in a town with no way out, the surrounding forest offers no respite as it’s plagued by monsters disguised as people who want nothing more than to devour the townsfolk. Season 3 premiered back in April 2024 on MGM and ran for 10 episodes,and now withFromseason 4 filming in Nova Scotia, which is a returning location to its previous seasons, fans are hopeful thatFromdoesn’t get too “lost” and bogged down in wanting to keep its storyline mysterious if it decides to continue into a fifth season.
From Fans Are Worried the Show Will Become the New Lost
Over on Reddit, fans have been discussing the potential of aFromseason 5, once season 4 is done, and how it might fall intothe same pit as the TV showLostdid, leaving fans confused about its narrative, characters and sense of direction. AlthoughLostwas one of the biggest TV shows when it first aired, its latter seasons received a mixed response due to how, quite literally, lost it became. To many, the series felt like the showrunners were making its narrative up as it went along, with flashbacks and questions with no answers that added very little to its arc.
“I hope it doesn’t end the same way as Lost,” said one fan in the comments section under the post, while another anxious poster said, “SAME!!!! I’d be PISSED! Lost’s ending was lame af”, as another wants nothing more than a solid ending for the mysterious series, “Hopefully they’ll tie up all the loose ends. It deserves a strong finish.” Even thoughFrom’s storyline has been littered with mind-bending situations and given fans more questions than answers,season 3 did reveal some of its mysteries, like what the bottle tree numbers mean, what had been growing inside Fatima, what the phrase “Anghkooey” from the strange children meant, and how Tabitha and Jade are connected to Miranda and Christopher, so it is uncovering as much as it can while still leaving something to think about, which is exactly why fans fell in love with the show in the first place.
Since fans now know that the monsters can’t be killed directly and the connection is through the children, it seems as thoughFromseason 4, and potentially season 5, will explore this more, leaving plenty for fans to be excited about rather than confused, as there’s no evidence yet to suggest that the series will suffer from a lackluster and baffling ending.
