Fans eager for moreResident Evil 2content are in luck, as a new version of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield’s adventure is now available to play. However, players will need to be in one very specific locale to experience it for themselves.
A new video from IGN shows off the fast-paced gameplay fans can expect inResident Evil 2: Dead Shot, which is currently only available to play via a single arcade test cabinet found at Namco Funscape in Romford, located in the southeast of England. The game looks to be adapted from the 2019 remake, and while it is still in active development, the game currently allows players to progress through two episodes, while the next three are locked. Utilizing a light gun, players can take on hoards of zombies inside the Raccoon City Police Department. WhiletheResident Evil 2remake is available on many platforms, this is the first instance of it being brought to an arcade cabinet, and it’s unclear when it will make its way to more locations or be removed from the Romford location.
Familiar faces from past games in the survival horror franchise are scheduled to return later this year, as the mobile gameResident Evil Survival Unitis slated to launchsometime in 2025. Players will be able to create teams of three characters to balance their strengths and weaknesses, with previously announced names including Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, and Alyssa Ashcroft.
In June, players got theirfirst look atResident Evil Requiem, the next mainline entry in the franchise. Scheduled to be released in February 2026, the game will follow Grace Ashcroft, the daughter ofResident Evil Outbreak’s Alyssa Ashcroft, as she explores an abandoned Raccoon City and faces off against terrifying beings in the single-player adventure.
