Summary
Spider-Manis one of the most popular and well-known superheroes in the world, with a history that spans over eighty years. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Spider-Man has shaped the world of Marvel Comics and the comic book genre as a whole by being one of the most relatable and influential superheroes within and outside the Marvel universe.
The greatest words spoken into Marvel’s existence will always be “With great power, comes great responsibility.” These words have been a pillar of Spider-Man’s character since the beginning. While the core concept of Spider-Man stays consistent, there are many variants of the world-famous web-head who have entirely different concepts as characters. Some variants of the character are more than justfriendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and instead are incredibly overpowered alternate versions. Here are some ofthe most overpowered versions of Spider-Man, ranked.

8Superior Spider-Man
The Spider-Man Who Doesn’t Hold Back
TheSuperior Spider-Manis an intriguing take on Marvel’s favorite web-slinger, as the sequence of events that led to his creation is one of the most compelling storylines in recent years. A sinister plot by Otto Octavius results in Doc Ock taking over Peter Parker’s body and acting as the new Spider-Man. While in possession of Peter Parker’s life, he has all of Spider-Man’s abilities, from wall-crawling to super strength.
At first glance, there is nothing noticeably different between the regular and Superior Spider-Man, except for their restraint. Superior Spider-Man has the cold and calculated mind of Otto Octavius behind the wheel, and he unleashes Spider-Man’s full strength on unsuspecting targets, often ending fights in a single blow. A Spider-Man with no restraint is one of the most dangerous things within the Marvel Universe.
7Miguel O’Hara
The Self-Made Not-So-Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man From 2099
Miguel O’Hara, aka. Spider-Man 2099, has gained a fair amount of popularity in recent years thanks to the astounding success of theSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verseanimated film, starring Miles Morales. Miguel O’Hara is one of the most unique Spider-Men, residing in the 2099 universe, a bleak era ruled by Doctor Doom.
Before becoming a hero, Miguel was a geneticist working for one of the many shady corporations present in the year 2099. After the murder of his brother by the company he worked for and a run-in with his future self, he stepped into the role of Spider-Man. Miguel possesses most of the same powers as the original Spider-Man, along with a few additional abilities, including razor-sharp talons that can slice through nearly any material and venom-secreting fangs that can even affect demigods.
