Summary
7 Days to Diehas been one of the most popular zombie survival sandbox games for years now, even being listed in Xbox Store’sbest-selling games in 2024. The once-small indie game has had a huge evolution over its many updates, introducing many changes and new features.
The game has finally received its long-awaitedStorm’s Brewing update, bringing many additions and changes to the game, including skills, progression, weather systems and more. Just like with any big7 Days to Dieupdate, even more new POI locations have been added for survivors to explore and take shelter. Just be sure to clear out any undead creatures first, of course.
(Update 2.0)All of these POIs are located in Navezgane, but may not appear in randomly generated worlds.
7Area 7
Difficulty Level: 10/10
Area 7is one of the biggest new points of interest added in the game’s Storms Brewing update, and it can be a great location for a variety of reasons. It’s a questable POI, meaning that it can be used as the location for trader quests in the later stages of the game.
Being a Tier 5 POI means it may be off limits in the early game unless players want to take a risk. It’s a massive underground facility and laboratory, and just like otherhigh-tier locations, it’s full of a ton of great loot to grab. The downside is that it’s also filled with tons of zombies. But if players manage to make it through with all the loot and clear this new location out, it’s basically an impenetrable fortress that would be great for holding out for the dreaded horde nights.
6Hybrid Mining
Difficulty Level: 9/10
Another high-tier, questable POI added in the 2.0 update is Hybrid Mining, a massive mining complex on the surface that goes even deeper once players start to venture into its underground pathways. The whole mine is around 100 x 100 meters just on the surface, making it one of the biggest POIs seen in the game so far. Naturally, it’s filled with the risk of some difficult zombies, but the big reward of a whole load of high-tier loot to find.
This is another questable POI, and will take a lot of time, ammo, and preferably agood character buildto get through. But once cleared out, it can be another great base location since it’s already so heavily fortified, not to mention all the loot players can obtain to sell or use for themselves.
5Navezgane Outlets
Difficulty Level: 6/10
7 Days to Diehas definitely expanded the types of POIs players can find. Instead of just being one single building or location,Navezgane Outletsis instead a collection of different buildings all connected together.
The location seems like a pretty normal-looking outdoor mall with a couple of different shops, but players shouldn’t be fooled by its average appearance. Being another high-tier POI means lots of tough enemies to go up against, whether exploring it to complete a trader quest, or for some prettyworthwhile loot containers. Navezgane Outlets may be dangerous, but if cleared out successfully, it can make for a great base location, especially when playing online. Each player could take over their own separate store, even creating a walled-in compound.
4The Secret Chamber
Difficulty Level: 2/10
The Secret Chamberis a bit of a different location than the rest. It’s not exactly in the higher tier in terms of loot or enemy difficulty, but it can still prove challenging in its own ways.
This POI appears as a small crack in the surface that leads down into a miniature maze of different caves and corridors. Players might find a few average items or a couple of zombies lying about. However, this place isn’t so much about the loot, but more about the building potential. The deep underground cave is a great baseline POI for building a heavily fortified base that is nice and hidden away, perfect for blood moons if reinforced correctly.
3Correa Rockworx
Large-scale underground locations seem to be a common theme for thegame’s 2.0 update. But it’s hard to complain about that with all the good loot on offer, especially at Correa Rockworx.
Much like the Hybrid Mining POI, this new location features a big, wide-open quarry area on the surface that goes down many different levels into a pit below. The upper area isn’t too tricky, giving players lots of room to deal with the zombies, or even avoid them altogether. But venturing deeper into Correa Rockworx is another high-risk, high-reward situation. It’s brimming with weapons, armor and other valuables, while also being filled with a ton of zombies, most of which are the tougher feral or irradiated varieties.
2Crossvein Caverns
Difficulty Level: 3/10
The Crossvein Caverns POI is a natural cave formation, much like The Secret Chamber POI. But this cave system is a bit bigger, also giving a lot more potential for setting up a base and some traps. The caverns have a much larger opening straight to the bottom, with passageways wrapping around the outside. There may be a few zombies roaming around, but they can be handled with some early-game weapons.
Deeper inside the cave system, there’s a bit of loot at what seems to be an abandoned campsite. This location won’t be too difficult to clear out, nor will it offer many goodies, but could make for a cool base build with lots of potential for traps at the bottom of the large opening to the surface.
1Bunker Buildsite #5
Difficulty Level: 1/10
One of the smaller points of interest added in7 Days to Die’s2.0 update is the Bunker Buildsite. While it may be tiny and unremarkable compared to the rest, it does have its benefits. The Bunker Buildsite is a construction area for what looks to be some sort of doomsday shelter. Unfortunately, the zombie apocalypse hit too soon, making it just a half-finished hole in the ground with not a lot in the way of precious loot items.
Yet, the location is still notable for its potential. The entrance is heavily fortified with a double door surrounded by concrete that leads into the empty pit. For the creative players out there, this could be the perfect blank-slate for an underground base build, and the entrance area would be a perfect corridor to set up somemotion sensors, turrets or other traps for incoming zombies.
