The series is more of a slice-of-life, with comedy stemming from the juxtaposition between former gangster Tatsu’s domestic activities and his stereotypical Yakuza appearance and mannerisms, with just enough action to keep things interesting.
The Way of the Househusbandisperfect for fans of over-the-top comedyand the Yakuza film genre. The series often plays things up for laughs, but there are also some great moments between Tatsu and his career woman wife, Miku, that make this Yakuza parody stand out as something worth watching.
